Reversing Falls St Johns NB Canada
Twice a day the mighty St Johns river and the Bay of Fundy tides ebb and flow as they say. As a consequence at a turn in the river in St Johns the tide drops the water level of the sea about 50 feet however there is a huge volume of river water forcing its way from a lake which is inland from St Johns. Water flow speed up and you get a series of rapids and whirlpools.
The best way to experience this is via the jetboat tours. Very inexpensive and immense fun for about 20 minutes.
